I have decided. It's time to do what I have been wanting to do for many years now. Write...with a purpose to help others.
I have two kids, 12 and 8. Lauren and Luke. We are Malaysians, who worked in Singapore and now live in Australia. Sunshine Coast to be specific. In a little jewel of a town called Buderim, a place practically unknown to friends and family in Singapore & Malaysia.
So much has happened in the last 12 years since the children have come along. My husband Kevin and I have always talked about sharing our stories with others. We're not perfect parents. Especially when bringing up a child with an Autism Spectrum Condition, parenting has been nothing less than challenging.
In talking with friends and colleagues, we discovered there are so many questions about bringing up children and autism.
This is about what we have learnt, experienced, read and seen. We hope it makes your journey easier and more importantly, heaps of fun!
